There are an overwhelming number of states out there who have legalized medical marijuana. If this substance is legal in your state, then you will have to take the time to do a bit of research to find the right options for your needs

I am a long-term cancer survivor. I take a dropper full of a CBD oil called Charlotte’s Web before bed.

There are a variety of medical conditions that can be helped through the consumption of marijuana. In order to get the medicinal marijuana needed, a person will need to take the time to check the laws of their state. There are an overwhelming number of states out there who have legalized medical marijuana. If this substance is legal in your state, then you will have to take the time to do a bit of research to find the right options for your needs. Going into this process without all of the information you need can lead to you making the wrong choice. Read below to find out more about what you need to know when trying to get the right marijuana.

1. What Conditions Are You Trying to Treat?

When trying to find the right medical marijuana, you will first have to take the time to get diagnosed for the ailments that you have. Going into a medical doctor will allow you to get all of the information that you need to find the right marijuana strain. With all of the different strains out there, you will need this type of information to narrow the selection. A doctor who is knowledgeable in the medical marijuana field will be able to give their patients the information regarding the best types of strains to treat the problems they are having.

2. Which Dispensary Will You Use?

Once a person has found out what type of marijuana they need, they will have to take the time to find the right dispensary in their area. Usually, there will be a number of different dispensaries in an area where cannabis is legal. You will need to do your homework in order to figure out which of the dispensaries can offer you the help you need regarding the finding of the right cannabis. You will need to take into account just how much knowledge a particular cannabis supplier has. In most cases, you will not be very knowledgeable regarding the cannabis products out there. A budtender will be able to help you choose the right products with ease due to the knowledge they have.

3. How Will You Consume the Cannabis?

Another vital thing that you will have to figure out when trying to find the right cannabis is how you will consume. Some people do not like smoking this substance and are usually on the hunt for better methods of consumption. One of the best ways for a person who does not like smoking pot to ingest it is by getting edibles. While these edibles are a bit potent, they are a great way to get some THC in your bloodstream in a hurry. If you would prefer to smoke the cannabis, then getting a quality bong is essential.

When looking to purchase a new bong, you will need to get a bit of guidance. Many of the head shops in your area will have a variety of display models of the bongs and pipes they stock. Getting a firsthand look at these products is a great way to figure out which one is the best fit for your particular needs. Also, going into a head shop gives you the chance to ask any questions you may have about the bong options on the market. Ideally, you will want to get a new bong that is both durable and easy to use. Unless you are an experienced smoker, you may have trouble with a bong that has a lot of moving parts.

A dispensary will be able to offer you the guidance that you need to get started in the world of cannabis consumption. Without the right amount of time and effort, you will struggle to find the right cannabis and smoking accessories. There is tons of information online regarding cannabis consumption, so take advantage of these materials before going out in search of the best cannabis strains.

My\wife has MM, zero pain, and I am looking for the most effective sublingual drops, as well as dosage advice, in order to enhance her velcade (bortizimib)treatment. We live in North carolina, and there seems to be a CBD store every couple of miles around here. Also, how do I bring this up with our MM oncologist?

    Hi Tom-

I’m not sure what your wife’s onc. would say however I always encourage patients/caregivers to try. As for dose, there is no clear answer. Or I should say that the studies cite a dose dependent on the percentage of cannabinoids IN the CBD oil. That goes for the “most effective” as well. The most effective, according to research, is the CBD oil with the highest percentage of cannabinoid content.

Depending on your wife’s age, stage and general health I would encourage as little toxicity combined with evidence-based non-toxic, non-conventional therapies such as CBD (of course) as well as other nutritional supplements that have been shown to enhance the efficacy of proteasome inhibitors (velcade/bortezomib is a proteasome inhibitor).

If you email me at david.peoplebeatingcancer@gmail.com, I will send you the MM CC integrative therapies guide.

    Hang in there,

    David Emerson
