Atrial Fibrillation- John D. Callahan

My name is David Emerson. I am a cancer survivor and director of PeopleBeatingCancer. In late 2010, I developed chronic or permanent atrial fibrillation (Afib). Like John Callahan,

I too manage my own Afib naturally meaning I take no conventional meds. My cardiologist has urged me to take meds (metroprolol, blood thinners, etc.) but I have chosen not to.

Echocardiograms from 2015-2020 have shown steady improvement in all of my metrics such as ejection fraction, blood pressure, etc.

I exercise daily, get plenty of sleep, sauna and supplement with many different evidence-based but non-toxic nutritional supplements such as:

  • CoQ10,
  • Omega-3 fatty acids,
  • Curcumin
  • Vitamin D3
  • Powdered cocoa
  • L-Carntine

and others. I buy all my supplements through  Life Extension Foundation.

I am not, in any way, criticizing people who take conventional heart meds. Experience has taught me that we all have own own priorities and our own differences. My point only is that evidence-based non-toxic heart therapies are well-documented though you can’t expect your cardiologist to say much about these many therapies.

Consider a complimentary approach to managing your heart heals- meaning both conventional medicine as well as evidence-based but non-conventional heart medicine.

The day may come when I choose to take conventional heart meds. But not today.

Beating Atrial Fibrillation Naturally 40 Years

by John D. Callahan

http://faithreason.org/BeatingAFib40Years/

$3.50 ebook, many illustrations and links

I have had atrial fibrillation (AFib) for approximately 40 years (from my mid-20s to mid-60s), but the disease has progressed very slowly. I am still paroxysmal (intermittent) with minimal AFib burden; in fact, I am in sinus rhythm over 99% of the time. My episodes (a handful a year) typically last around half a day, and I’ve never needed medical intervention to terminate an episode. I’ve never had an episode lasting over a day. I’ve never had a stroke, and I have an otherwise normal heart with normal-sized atria.

In this book I will explain how I have done it, naturally, without the medical intervention of drugs (except a few, optional ones, primarily during episodes), electroshock, ablation, or surgery. I am not a doctor, but I did graduate from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in astronomy and physics. I also worked at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) in the space program.

Thank you so much Mr Callahan. This is extremely well written and will inspire many to follow in your footsteps. Many many thanks for mentioning me.
