Hi Howard-
I use Life Extension Foundation Curcumin Elite but there are many bioavailable formulas for you to consider.

ReplyHello
What would be the dose of the elite turmeric for some with active mm
HI Gladys-
The studies I’ve read discussing that issue only talks about “a time and dose dependent manner” which I think means the more the longer the more effective. Plus many formulas contain different bioavailability formulas.

ReplyHi David,
I have been recently diagnosed with MGus and am experiencing some mild numbness and tingling. I have been a plant based vegan for over 20 years as well as avid exerciser: walking- yoga- meditation
Since the diagnosis- I am scared and overwhelmed. I would appreciate any guides for supplementation-nutrition-or exercise you could send me.
Thank you,
Melanie
What is the most effective dose for multiple myeloma? If turmeric is paired with black pepper, is that sufficient to increase bioavailability? I’d really like to know exactly how to supplement with this, whether to take curcumin directly or to take it through turmeric, and how much. Thank you.
ReplyHi Maria-
There are a variety of studies of curcumin and MM and only a few of those studies cite specific doses. For example one study I know of talks about a curcumin dose (no brand given) using 4 grams. I know of many patients with active MM who dose 8 grams a day. I take only 500 milligrams daily as my mm is in remission.
My suggestion would be to start with a low daily dose of curcumin and see how you feel.
Yes, black pepper has been shown to enhance the bioavailability of curcumin.

ReplyHi David, hope you are well. Since I am taking blood thinners daily, is taking curcumin supplementation alright? I was informed that curcumin induces bleeding.
Thanks
Nora
Hi Nora-
That would be the kind of question you need to ask your GP or oncologist. The answer will depend on several different blood issues.
thanks,
David Emerson

ReplyHi Lora-
The daily dose varies for each individual. Curcumin studies talk about ” a time and dose dependent manner” meaning the more the better. I am in remission so I talk one capsule, 500 mg daily. Many with active MM take 2,4,6,8 GRAMS daily. In my opinion, it is more about anti-mm nutrition, anti-mm supplementation (not only curcumin but others shown to kill mm), anti-MM lifestyle.
Throw a variety of anti-mm therapies at your MM.
