How does a long-term myeloma survivor cope with the risk of COVID-19? Can evidence-based, non-toxic supplements, antiviral, antibacterials help?

I am a long-term survivor of the incurable blood cancer called multiple myeloma. After years of healing my body, I think my immune system is okay but living in a time of COVID-19 aka coronavirus, I like to think ahead.  I find myself thinking through various what-if scenarios.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote another blog post about MM and the coronavirus. I did some research into infectious diseases in general. Boy was that an eye-opener. I’m not just talking about virus’ either- plague, smallpox, fevers, influenza, typhus, and on and on. Let’s just say that germophobes may not want to read about all of the infectious diseases in the twentieth century.

After my research the conclusion I came to is that if you are young and healthy, you stand a reasonable chance at managing an infectious disease. COVID-19 is a great example of this. If you’re young and healthy, your risk of getting the virus is small. Further, if you are young and healthy, your risk of dying from COVID-19 is even smaller.

However, if you are a 60 year old cancer survivor who lives with chemotherapy-induced heart failure, your risks are much greater for all sorts of possible health problems if you get COVID-19.

For the record, I’m sure that conventional medicine is working their butts off trying to figure out a vaccine, trying to treat coronavirus patients, doing everything they can to manage a difficult situation. But my experience living with my incurable cancer has conditioned me not to rely completely on conventional medicine. For anything.

My solution to the COVID-19, coronavirus, infectious disease challenge? Nutrition, Lifestyle and Nutritional supplementation. From supplements such as omega-3 fatty acids,  vitamin C and D3 (discussed in the short video linked below) to curcumin/turmeric, onion, garlic, etc. listed below.

I don’t take every single supplement/herb listed below. I take supplements daily as well as eat many of the therapies listed below. It helps to have a chef as a wife. Dawn is a wiz at including garlic in our foods.

My life as a multiple myeloma survivor has taught me that life is largely based on risks. My goal is to decrease my risk of getting COVID-19 or any other infectious disease. And if I am diagnosed with coronavirus some day, I hope to reduce my risks of complications not to mention dying.

most powerful natural antibiotics known to mankind

Choosing a Natural Antibiotic-

“Antibiotics can fight bacteria, fungi, and some parasites, but not viruses. That’s why doctors won’t prescribe you antibiotics for a viral infection or flu. In the same way, you shouldn’t attempt to use natural antibiotics to fight viruses- they simply won’t do anything…

Make sure you talk with your medical practitioner about what kind of natural antibiotic (or anti-viral) is appropriate to help treat your specific health condition. This information is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions about your medical condition and/or current medication…

Natural Antibacterials- Antibacterials are used against E. Coli or Salmonella, H. pylori, ear infections, strep throat, or wound infections.
