“What a tremendous amount of information about Myeloma you have acquired. It was extremely informative and reinforces the fact that I have a lot of work to do.”

Hello David, I would like to thank you again for taking the time to speak to me yesterday. The Myeloma cancer coaching discussion was actually quite comforting. I have read the majority of the downloads that I received yesterday. What a tremendous amount of information you have acquired. It was extremely informative and reinforces the fact that I have a lot of work to do. I do have a couple of questions now, there will be many more later.

1. I see that you support both dietary and “vitamin” forms of nutritional supplementation. Is one considered superior or more effective than the other?

2. Is there any risk to doing both (over doing it)?

3. Have you ever published a menu-based nutritional guide?

4. Would you be willing to review my Myeloma health summary (all test and imaging reports) if I were to provide them to you?

5. I have seen several reports that address the use of bisphosphonates to control bone disease in SMM patients. Bisphosphonates alone without other meds (RVD, etc). Many reports state that Zometa and others have been shown to kill myeloma cells as well. Do have any additional information concerning this?

I will be contacting Dr. Berenson’s office this morning in order to get an appointment for a second opinion.

Thank you so much for your help. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards, Samuel

Hi Samuel-

Good talking with you yesterday as well. I will address each question below-
1.     I see that you support both dietary and “vitamin” forms of nutritional supplementation. Is one considered superior or more effective than the other?

No, both dietary and nutritional supplements have their place as MM therapies. I do both. Truth be told, these therapies overlap. Meaning, you ingest resveratrol when you eat grapes, drink red wine and supplement. Resveratrol has been shown to kill MM.

2.     Is there any risk to doing both (over doing it)?

Technically, a person can overdo any therapy though I have never read a study that indicates this. As you probably know a person who drinks more than, what is it, a gallon, of water in less than 30 minutes will die. Something like that… I don’t know what would happen to you if you ingested too much resveratrol but you would consume a lot.

3.     Have you ever published a menu-based nutritional guide?

I have been asked for recipes with various supplements. Such as curcumin rich recipes. I am going to do this some day…

4.     Would you be willing to review my health summary (all test and imaging reports) if I were to provide them to you?

Yes, I suggest you send me your blood work once we have scheduled a consultation.

5.     I have seen several reports that address the use of bisphosphonates to control bone disease in SMM patients. Bisphosphonates along without other meds (RVD, etc). Many reports state that Zometa and others have been shown to kill myeloma cells as well. Do have any additional information concerning this?

I have seen studies that establish bisphosphonate therapy as being anti-MM. Though I don’t know the doses, timing, etc. For someone like you who has early stage MM and bone damage at the same time I would consider undergoing bisphosphonates as well as bone strengthening supplements.

Please watch the video below to learn more about the evidence-based, integrative therapies to combat treatment side effects and enhance your chemotherapy.

I’m curious to hear what Dr. Berenson has to say. Keep me posted. Thanks.
