Hi David, thank you for all this information. I am on biweekly Velcade maintenance and confused as to timing of taking omega 3 oil. Any suggestions? Thank you!
It is easy to be confused about nutritional supplementation and chemo. The studies linked in the post you came in on cite omega-3 as enhancing Velcade for MM. Your oncologist may say otherwise.
I think the safest course is to work around your velcade shot- meaning stop taking omega-3 a couple days before your infusion and start again a couple of days after.
I supplement with vitamin D3 daily. However we each should get tested as we live, eat, etc. differently. I mean, I live in Cleveland, Ohio- not much sunshine here in Jan…
I have read about Neem only for general anti-cancer action. However, according to the study linked below, Neem is anti-angiogenic, and can synergize both radiation and certain chemo regimens. Potentially good stuff!
