ReplyMultiple Myeloma an incurable disease, but I have spent the last 25 years in remission using a blend of conventional oncology and evidence-based nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle therapies from peer-reviewed studies that your oncologist probably hasn't told you about.

I have survived an “incurable cancer,” multiple myeloma (MM), since 1994. I can tell you that nutrition is an essential complementary therapy in my battle to fight cancer. Studies confirm that nutritional antioxidants (food or supplements) help cancer patients endure chemotherapy better with fewer side effects. Keep in mind however, that if you have to think all day about what you eat and how you prepare it, you may have a difficult time achieving your nutritional goals.
The solution? My wife gave me a Nutri Bullet 12-Piece Hi-Speed Blender/Mixer System for Christmas in 2013. I blend a smoothie every school-day morning for me and my son before I take Alex to school. In other words I am making breakfast for both me and my son and I need to incorporate the three bullet points above.
My version of “fast, easy, delicious?” Chop a banana (texture) and add whatever is in the fridge, berries, apples, nuts, whatever. Add some frozen fruit if you want to chill your smoothie. To make it tart, add orange juice. To make it sweeter, add coconut water.
My version of protein and antioxidants? Garden of Life RAW Organic Protein Powder and Navitas Naturals Organic Antioxidant Superfruit Blend, 8-Ounce Pouches. The fresh fruit or veggies will carry the flavor. The powders do the heavy nutritional lifting.
Pour half the smoothie in a glass for your child and drink the other half yourself. Rinse the indestructible plastic container and you are done. The Nutri Bullet comes with a recipe book.
Certainly the other meals during your day are important in pursuing anti-cancer nutrition. My goal is to start my day with a leg up on my daily dose of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber and protein, etc.
And my son loves my smoothies. Fast, Nutritious, Easy, Delicious…
I am both a cancer survivor and cancer coach. Surviving cancer, any cancer is difficult. I can help. For more information about both conventional and non-conventional cancer therapies scroll down the page, post a question or a comment and I will reply ASAP.

“The right kinds of foods in your diet can give you the best balance of nutrients and help with your symptoms or the side effects of treatment. Ask your dietitian about adding these foods to your daily diet:
Greens. Fruits and vegetables are full of antioxidants that help your body rebuild itself. They also fight constipation, which can be a side effect of pain medicine and some cancer treatments…
Fiber. If you have constipation from chemotherapy, you may want to boost the fiber in your diet…
Bland foods. On the other hand, if you’re dealing with diarrhea, your doctor may have you eat a low-fiber diet known as the BRAT diet..
Iron. The cancer cells that build up in your bone marrow may crowd out your healthy blood cells…
itamins and minerals. Your doctor or dietitian may suggest that you take a daily supplement to make sure you get enough nutrients to stay healthy. These may include…
