Recently Diagnosed or Relapsed? Stop Looking For a Miracle Cure, and Use Evidence-Based Therapies To Enhance Your Treatment and Prolong Your Remission

Multiple Myeloma an incurable disease, but I have spent the last 25 years in remission using a blend of conventional oncology and evidence-based nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle therapies from peer-reviewed studies that your oncologist probably hasn't told you about.

Cannabinoids as Integrative Multiple Myeloma Therapy

These results showed that Cannabinoids (CBD) by itself or in synergy (integrative) with BORT strongly inhibited growth, arrested cell cycle progression and induced Multiple Myeloma cell death…

Dear David- I am in need of your evidence based studies for the Cannabinoids.  I have been looking into this for a few months for my other half. I am an herbal person from way back, I have had good success at keeping my other half blood levels well during his multiple myeloma (MM) treatments for the last 5 months.

I am trying to get as much documentation as possible. His Oncologist is a bit old school I have gotten Randy (my other half) to agree to this approach. Not sure just how to deal with the Oncologist.  I am sure this is the way to go and I would greatly appreciate an information. Karen

Hi Karen- I am going to assume that your “other half” is dealing with multiple myeloma and that you are integrating cannabidiol with conventional MM therapies  as this is the article that you were reading. Since you are an “herbal person from way back” please be aware that there are evidence-based studies citing other non-toxic supplements that has been shown to be cytotoxic (kill) multiple myeloma.

I have supplemented with curcumin, omega-3, resveritrol, green tea extract, DHEA and others for years now.

As for your old school oncologist, the issue of oncs who resist integrative therapy for MMers is a difficult one. My personal belief as a long-term Myeloma and Myeloma cancer coach is that if conventional oncology can’t cure MM then MMers must pursue other forms of evidence-based therapy beyond conventional therapies.

Which is what you are doing below. Please present your oncologist with printouts of the pubmed studies below to help the discussion. Keep in mind that the final decision about what the patient does is up to each patient not the oncologist

Please let me know if you have any questions.

CBD and Velcade/bortezomib

” These results showed that CBD by itself or in synergy with BORT strongly inhibited growth, arrested cell cycle progression and induced MM cells death by regulating the ERK, AKT and NF-κB pathways with major effects in TRPV2+ cells. These data provide a rationale for using CBD to increase the activity of proteasome inhibitors in MM…”

Cannabinoids As Antimyeloma Agents: a New Approach for the Treatment of Multiple Myeloma

“CONCLUSIONS: Cannabinoids have a very selective antitumor effect against MM cells. This effect involves activation of apoptosis processes and alterations in the composition of membrane sphingolipids (ceramides). In vivo studies confirmed the efficacy of these agents in the treatment of MM. This study lays the groundwork for the design of new anti-myeloma therapies…”

Cannabinoids synergize with carfilzomib, reducing multiple myeloma cells viability and migration

“Herein, we also found that the CBD and THC combination is able to reduce expression of the β5i subunit as well as to act in synergy with CFZ to increase MM cell death and inhibits cell migration. In summary, these results proved that this combination exerts strong anti-myeloma activities…”
