“Rheumatism or rheumatic disorder is an umbrella term for conditions causing chronic, often intermittent pain affecting the jointsand/or connective tissue.
I am a long-term cancer survivor and cancer coach. Years of experience, research and study have taught me that many evidence-based non-toxic therapies can address cancer as well as rheumatism.
PeopleBeatingCancer is increasingly populated with my posts supported by studies like the one linked and excerpted below that cite blood levels of Vitamin D3 and omega-3 fatty acids below a certain level as increasing the risk of inflammation and rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
I am not a doctor and cannot prescribe any therapy. I can tell you that my own blood levels (as of a blood test 9 months ago) measured my Vitamin D3 blood levels at 31 ng/ml. The study below defines vitamin D3 deficiency as below 20 ng/ml.
I supplement with 1000 mg. of Life Extension Vitamin D3 x 3 daily. This brand has been evaluated and approved by ConsumerLab.com and independent testing agency.
Vitamin D3 is not a silver bullet. It is, however, a cost-effective and evidence-based complementary therapy to reduce the risk of many chronic diseases including RA.
I supplement with LEF Vitamin D3 for the reasons below-

“Rheumatism or rheumatic disorder is an umbrella term for conditions causing chronic, often intermittent pain affecting the jointsand/or connective tissue. The study of, and therapeutic interventions in, such disorders is called rheumatology.[1] The term “rheumatism”, however, does not designate any specific disorder, but covers at least 200[citation needed] different conditions.
Sources dealing with rheumatism tend to focus on arthritis,[citation needed] but “rheumatism” may also refer to other conditions causing chronic pain, grouped as “non-articular rheumatism”, also known as “regional pain syndrome” or “soft tissue rheumatism”.[2] The term “Rheumatic Diseases” is used in MeSH to refer to connective tissue disorders.[3]“
“Treatment with omega-3 fatty acids has been associated with improvement in some outcome measures in rheumatoid arthritis. Studies are needed to determine if they might represent an alternative to nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs in certain circumstances.”
“The aim was to study the association between 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) levels and the clinical characteristics of patients with chronic inflammatory rheumatic diseases (CIRD)…
25(OH)D deficiency was defined if 25(OH)D vitamin levels were < 20 ng/ml…
A statistically significant positive association between RA and 25(OH)D deficiency was found…
In summary, patients with RA followed at rheumatology outpatient clinics have high risk of 25(OH)D deficiency, in spite of presenting low-to-moderate disease activity due to tight control of the disease. In consequence, we believe that we must monitor the levels of vitamin D at baseline and during follow up, and supplement vitamin D if any deficiency is detected.”
I’m a long-term cancer survivor living with chemobrain, chemo-induced heart damage, radiation-induced nerve damage and a risk of treatment related secondary cancers. I believe that omega 3 fatty acid supplementation helps me maintain my health each and every day.
I take one capsule daily of Life Extension Super Omega 3 EPA/DHA with Sesame Lignans and Olive Fruit to insure all I get all of the health benefits below and I encourage you to do so as well.
thank you,

Metabolic syndrome is a collection of conditions.
It includes central obesity (belly fat), high blood pressure, insulin resistance, high triglycerides and low HDL levels.
It is a major public health concern, since it increases your risk of developing many other diseases. These include heart disease and diabetes (51).
Omega-3 fatty acids can reduce insulin resistance and inflammation, and improve heart disease risk factors in people with metabolic syndrome (52, 53, 54).
Inflammation is incredibly important. We need it to fight infections and repair damage in the body.
Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the Western world, and omega-3 fatty acids have long been claimed to reduce the risk of certain cancers.

Osteoporosis and arthritis are two common disorders that affect the skeletal system.
Studies indicate that omega-3s can improve bone strength by increasing the amount of calcium in bones. This should lead to a reduced risk of osteoporosis (87, 88).
Omega-3s may also help with arthritis. Patients taking omega-3 supplements have reported reduced joint pain and increased grip strength (89, 90).
Menstrual pain occurs in the lower abdomen and pelvis, and often radiates to the lower back and thighs.

Omega-3s can also protect your skin from sun damage. EPA helps block the release of substances that eat away at the collagen in your skin after sun exposure (101).
